Yahia Fofana (6/10)Nothing much was seen from Fofana who had what looked like a vacation between the sticks.After enjoying a quiet start to the match with Nigeria's forwards barely calling him to action, he got a rude awakening when William Troost-Ekong beat him.

Golkeeper

Serge Aurier (6/10):Galatasaray's new signing gifted Nigeria their goal when he allowed Nigeria captain Troost-Ekong to head in as he appeared to be in control of the situation.Ghislain Konan (7/10): Konan had Samuel Chukwueze under close check except when the Super Eagles star moved away to flick the ball for Troost-Ekong to head in. Evan Ndicka (8/10):The France-born central defender did well to nullify Victor Osimhen's threat and keep the Nigeria star in his pocket. Odilon Kossounou - (7.5/10):Kossounou combined well with Ndicka to neutralise Nigeria's biggest threat Osimhen as well as his supporting forwards.

Defenders 

Jean Michael Seri (7/10):The Hull City star used his experience in central midfield to shield the backline well.Seko Fofana (5/10): It was very unusual to see Fofana having a very quiet game. Perhaps it was because he operated too deep in midfield. Franck Kessie (7/10):His goal was key in Ivory Coast launching a comeback. He was forceful and unlucky not to grab another goal.

Midfielders

Max Gradel (6.5/10):Operating on the right wing, Gradel played well in patches and the 2015 Afcon winner's experience was important in the latter stages of the game as Ivory Coast to form at the back.Simon Adingra (8.5/10): What a terrific evening for the speedy winger who came out of the contest with two assists.He was deservedly named Man of the Match having been a constant threat to Nigeria.Sebastien Haller (7.5/10):The Borussia Dortmund man started slowly and only burst into life towards the end when he side-netted with an acrobatic kick before grabbing the deciding goal with a brilliant finish.

Attackers 

Wilfried Singo (5/10):He replaced Aurier and not much was seen from him though he never set his feet wrong. Oumar Diakite (6/10):The 20-year-old had big shoes to fill when he came on for veteran Gradel and he played fairly well.Jean-Philippe Krasso, Ibrahim Sangare &amp; Jean Thierry Amani ( no ratings)The trio was introduced very late in the dying moments of the game and was rarely involved in action.

Substitutes

Emerse Fae (9/10)Fae managed the game well and he made the right substitutions as he masterminded Nigeria's downfall.He will surely be considered for the Ivory Coast coaching job on a permanent basis.
