Ghana's Kassim Nuhu hoping to seal Hoffenheim move

Ghana defender Kassim Adams Nuhu ‘wants’ a move away from current club Young Boys, who clinched the Swiss Super League title last season.

The 23-year-old joined the Bern-based outfit in 2016 from Ghana Premier League side Medeama and played a major role as the club ended a 32-year run without a major trophy.

His performance has attracted interest from several clubs, with Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim reportedly closing in on him.

Although, Young Boys have offered him an improved contract, the centre-back believes it is time to move on.

“I have given Hoffenheim my word and that is, I'm ready to play for them in the upcoming season,” Kasim told SportsworldGhana.com.

“I feel I have paid my dues at Young Boys especially after helping them win the league title for the first time in 32 years.

“It's been an amazing feeling playing for Young Boys and also being part of the club’s history but I think this is the right time for me to open a new chapter elsewhere,” he added.

Kassim boasts of four national team appearances. He made his debut in October 2017 against Saudi Arabia, scoring the only goal for the Black Stars on the night.
