Sven Goran-Eriksson: "Win against Singapore doesn't mean anything"

Philippine head coach Sven Goran Eriksson believes his side’s win against Singapore doesn’t mean that the Azkals will get out of the group.

“Our objective is to qualify from the group and although we win today, it doesn’t mean we are done.”

“Today we could have gotten zero, one or three points.”

The Swede’s appointment has come with great expectations and the former England manager hopes to get his team playing in a fluid manner.

“My expectation for the time I am here is to play the ball a little bit more. There were many long balls today which is not bad but I want to reduce that. Our goal is still to reach the semi-finals.”
