N’Koulou on target vs. Udinese as Torino extend positive run

Nicolas N'Koulou was on target as Torino secured a 2-0 victory over Udinese in Sunday’s Italian Serie A encounter at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.

The hosts headed into the encounter on the back of a four-game unbeaten run, with their last defeat coming at the hands of city rivals, Juventus in a Coppa Italia clash in January. And the defender’s first-half effort gave them hope of extending the run.

In the 32nd minute, N’Koulou planted a header past Albano Bizzarri from an Iago Falque corner kick.

Lorenzo De Silvestri assisted Andrea Belotti as the Bull doubled their tally in the 66th minute as the hosts ran out 2-0 victors over Massimo Oddo's side.

N’Koulou who netted his second goal of the season played for the entire duration of the tie while Joel Obi and Mbaye Niang were taken off in the second half.

Torino, now placed ninth after swapping places with Udinese [10th], will hope to avenge their cup loss to Juventus when both sides meet in a Serie A derby on February 18.
