In conjunction with the launch, sales of the new kits also started all over Johor on the same day.

With the new kit priced at RM215 a piece, that means the club have already sold close to 6,000 pieces on the first day alone.

When Thailand's Buriram United launched their new kit for the 2018 season, they generated an income of RM2.19 million on the first day.

The reigning Thai League champions are the benchmark for Southeast Asia and JDT are slowly but surely closing the gap.

On top of that, JDT also revealed that they have secured RM5 million from the new Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.

Despite the stadium still being under construction, 10 corporate boxes have already been taken up at RM500,000 per box.

With the money being paid up front, it means that JDT have earned a total of RM6.2 million without having played a single competitive match yet in the 2018 season.

Many other teams in Malaysia will do well to take in the work that the commercial team at JDT have put in and look to repeat the same feat with their respective clubs.
