EXTRA TIME: Nigeria players celebrate Independence Day

The west African nation marked their freedom from the British empire on this day 

Nigeria players across the world including the country's football body have taken to social media to celebrate the country's 58th Independence Day anniversary.

The annual national holiday marks Nigeria's proclamation of independence from British colony on October 1,1960.

With outpour of wishes and prayers, the country's football stars including Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi, William Troost-Ekong, John Ogu and English Premier League club Arsenal have joined the citizens in celebratory mood
