There is a two-week international break before City return to action against Liverpool in the Premier League on April 1st. Burnley return to action in the Championship at home to Sunderland on March 31.
Manchester City coast into the FA Cup semi-finals after beating Burnley 6-0 at the Etihad Stadium. Erling Haaland scored his second hat-trick of the week to take his tally of goals this term to 42. Julian Alvarez notched a brace, while Cole Palmer also found the net to put the Clarets to the sword. It was a tough lesson for Burnley boss Vincent Kompany and his team on his return to his old club.

Burnley have had their moments in the tie and could well have responded through Ian Maatsen before the break. Nathan Tella also had a strike saved by Stefen Ortega. If Vincent Kompany's men get the next goal it could set up a tense second half.
Erling Haaland has continued his form from midweek scoring twice to put Manchester City 2-0 in front against Burnley in their FA Cup quarter-final clash. City were forced to wait until the 32nd minute before Haaland struck, poking the ball past Bailey Peacock-Farrell following a sublime pass from Julian Alvarez. Burnley have lost their last 10 meetings with Man City in all competitions by an aggregate score of 34-1. Only against Arsenal (11 between 2010-2019) and Wolves (11 between 1987-2002) have they ever lost more consecutively.
Burnley defeated Hull 3-1 during the week in the Championship and have made three changes to their side. Foster leads the line for the Clarets as he replaces Barnes. Al Dakhil comes ito the defence alongside Beyer. Peacock-Farrell replaces Muric between the posts.
City have made seven changes to their side from their win over Leipzig during the week. Ortega gets a rare start between the posts to replace Ederson. Burnley put their march back towards the Premier League on hold this week to test their mettle against the cream of the crop in the FA Cup. The Clarets have been in sensational form in the second tier and look set to smash the points record on their way back to the top flight. Vincent Kompany knows all too well about the quality that City possess and knows that his team face a challenge to book a semi-final berth for the first time since 1974.
For all of City's dominance since Pep Guardiola's arrival in 2016, they've only won the FA Cup once in 2019 and the Spaniard will be keen for his side to press on in pursuit of the trophy against Burnley. City are fresh off a 7-0 hammering of RB Leipzig in the Champions League where Erling Haaland scored an incredible five goals on the night. Guardiola will be looking for the same level of clinical edge against the Championship leaders.
Hello and welcome to the live commentary of the FA Cup quarter-final clash between Manchester City and Burnley at the Etihad Stadium.
