Barcelona replicated the stripes from their home kit for this year’s away shirt, designing it with tonal light and dark blue horizontal stripes. The shirt was finished with pops of highlighter yellow and celebratory detailing around the club crest. Marking 50 years of the Camp Nou, a special laurel wreath surrounded the logo.

2007-08

When Barcelona stepped out at Wembley in May 1992, it was to be the last game they wore a kit designed by homegrown brand Meyba. The shirt in question – bright orange with a repeated Meyba logo and two blue and red lines – will forever be remembered for that match as Barcelona, powered by Koeman, Laudrup and a baby-faced Guardiola, beat Sampdoria to win the European Cup for the first time.

1991-92

The 2003/04 away shirt incorporated the classic blue and red of Barcelona in a new direction, with horizontal pinstripes running across the grey shirt. While this shirt is a standalone design classic, it’s probably best associated with that toe-pointed moment of genius from Ronaldinho at Stamford Bridge in 2005, although by that point it was serving as the club’s third kit

2003-04

The newest addition to Barcelona’s away kits is also one of its best. The all gold colour is a nod to the 1992 Olympics, while the graphic across the shirt is a celebration of Barcelona and, in particular, the areas of Eixample, Montjuic and Barceloneta. As well as the Olympic theme – which also includes detailing in the colours of the Olympic rings – the shirt is a celebration of the success of Barcelona’s women’s team.

2022-23

For 2013/14, Barcelona stuck pretty close to the Catalan flag. Inverting its design so that the red and yellow stripes ran vertically, the only real departure was a gradient effect in the same colours on the sleeves. The Catalan colours continued to the red shorts and yellow and red socks.&nbsp;

2013-14

It's hard to say for certain what Barcelona’s “historic” away colours are, but yellow has been a consistent theme throughout its history. Across much of the ‘80s, the club wore a Meyba-designed away kit that mixed the yellow with its home colours. The full yellow base didn’t feature many details, apart from an off-centre stripe in blue and red and a small Meyba logo.

1984-85

Barcelona’s Kappa-designed 1995/96 away kit saw the club get experimental. To say that it featured a light blue design would be to miss the point, with a geometric sort-of-stripe pattern in different shades of blue, as well as red and blue detailing, Kappa’s recurring logo along the sleeves and a royal blue-finished collar. Potentially the weirdest feature was the repeated pattern running down it, with Kappa’s logo and the word “Barca” all over the shirt.

1995-96

In the 2021/22 season, Barcelona made some interesting design choices. The home kit featured no less than three patterns of stripes, while the third kit saw the classic design covered almost entirely with a new pattern. The away kit, though, was a breath of fresh air. The entire shirt came in “Purple Pulse,” while even the crest was given a reworking to celebrate the colour scheme.

2021-22

The 2014/15 away kit was pretty simple, with an all-over bright orange design, but it became a classic due to the events of that season. At the end of the year, after beating Juventus in Munich, Barcelona became the first team ever to win a second European Treble. Along the way, Lionel Messi had scored 58 goals in just 57 games.

2014-15

The red and blue sash on a dark navy shirt that followed this one is probably a better kit, but this one is gold. Patrick Kluivert in a gold Barcelona kit, with a thick red and blue stripe down the middle, is too good not to include.&nbsp;
