Wazito coach Muhammed Ahmed delighted by trio's return

Wazito FC coach Muhammed Ahmed is pleased with the re-acquisition of the former club players led by Joe Waithira.

Waithira decided to ditch both Nakumatt and Kenyan Premier League for the lower tier, National Super League just days after he played a big part in the Shoppers’ survival in the KPL.

The promising forward scored a brace for Nakumatt in the KPL play-off against Ushuru to aid Mellis Medo’s side to a 3-0 aggregate win.

But Ahmed, who took the place of Frank Ouna, is delighted by the return of Waithira alongside Antony Gathu and Dennis Gicheru. “I just want them to be much focused and have their confidence back.”

Gathu on his part added: “It is a good feeling. The atmosphere is fantastic and I am looking forward to winning games and trophies with this young and homely club.”

The trio was part of the squad that met last weekend for the first team’s meeting, setting out the ambitious plan to return to the Kenya Premier League.
