Marseille midfielder Florian Thauvin netted an excellent long-range goal to help his side defeat Rennes 2-0 in Ligue 1 action Saturday.

With his side 1-0 up, the former Newcastle man found the back of the net from 25 yards out after superb work from Morgan Sanson.

The goal was Thauvin's seventh Ligue 1 strike of the season. Another former Premier League flop, Clinton N'Jie, also scored for Marseille in the win.
