Positive start to coach Robert Matano as Tusker finally ends a five-game winless streak

Coach Robert Matano guided Tusker to their first victory in five games following a 1-0 win over Wazito FC in a Kenyan Premier League match staged on Wednesday.

Matano, who was making his debut after signing with the former champions on Monday, grabbed maximum points in his debut; a victory that handed Wazito their third loss in five outings.

Robert Achema hit the only goal of the match to hand Tusker a 13th point of the season.

In another Kenyan Premier League match, Bandari FC and Zoo Kericho battled to a 2-2 draw.

William Wadri gave the hosts deserved lead in the 12th minute, connecting Darius Msagha's pass. 

Five minutes later, Nicholas Kipkirui levelled matters in favour of the away team.

Michael Madoya ensured the visitors went into halftime on an upper hand after headed home a cross from the right. 

Zoo's wasted chances came back to haunt them as Atariza Meja levelled with about seven minutes left on the clock. 

In other matches played, Gor Mahia was held to a two-all draw while Leopards battled to a 1-1 draw against Kariobangi Sharks.
