Olunga's team mate terminates contract with Guizhou Zhicheng

Michael Olunga’s team mate, Aly Ghazal has mutually terminated his contract with Chinese Super League club, Guizhou Zhicheng.

Ghazal ended his relationship with Zhicheng after he was relegated to the reserve team alongside Kenyan international, Olunga who moved to China early this year from Sweden.

The duo were struck off Zhicheng’s first team squad following recent changes in Super League foreign quota rule that allows a Chinese club to sign five foreign players with only three to be registered in the match day squad.

The situation of Olunga and his Egyptian team mate were made worse by the arrival of Spanish duo of Mario Suarez from Watford and Ruben Castro from Real Betis over the past two weeks, bringing the club over the foreign players’ quota.

Olunga is also understood to be on his way out of China as quoted by King Fu.
