Neymar breaks Olympic record

Neymar has broken an Olympic record after scoring the fastest goal in the competition's history, FIFA has confirmed.

The Brazil captain netted after just 15 seconds in the mens' semifinal against Honduras to better Janine Becker of Canada's women's team, who scored with just 19 seconds on the clock against Australia on Aug. 4.

It was nearly elation to devastation for Neymar, however, as he collided with Luis Lopez in the build up to his opening goal and was stretchered off after receiving treatment.

The Barcelona star was soon back on his feet and assisted both goals as new Manchester City signing Gabriel Jesus put Brazil three goals to the good at halftime. The Selecao won the game 6-0, and will face Germany in the gold medal match at the Rio Games.
