Micho: I have not received any offers from Orlando Pirates

Serbian-born Milutin Sredojevic, who for the first time in 39 years steered Uganda to the Afcon finals, is wanted by many a national and club side.

He has been heavily linked to take over the Bafana Bafana reins to succeed Shakes Mashaba and a return to his former club Orlando Pirates. 

“Uganda and seven different countries and clubs are chasing my services,” Sredojevic told the City Press.

He is not unknown to South African shores. He took over the reins of Bucs in 2006 to replace his countryman Kosta Papic, but he left midway into the campaign with the team near the drop.

Amidst media reports linking him with a return to the Parktown-based club, Sredojevic admits he is unaware of the interest as he has not been approached by anyone from the club.

“I don’t know where that comes from, nobody approached me,” Sredojevic said.

For the time being though, the 47-year-old is cooling off before deciding where his next destination will take him as it must be the right football project.

“My mind will go somewhere with (the) right football project. My second homecoming to South Africa must be properly done,” Sredojevic said.

Reports have it that the Cranes are keen to extend the stay of the Serb, but he wants a move away as he is unhappy over a few things such as salaries still owed to him.
