Everton are set to join the race to sign Tanguy Ndombele as the club look to overhaul their midfield.

The Liverpool Echo understand chief scout Martyn Glover has previously watched the Lyon man.

But director of football Marcel Brands and manager Marco Silva have agreed the 21-year-old would be worthwhile signing, though they face competition from Manchester City.

Bayern 'angered and confused' by Kovac rant


Niko Kovac has angered the Bayern Munich squad after criticising players following the 3-3 draw with Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Dod Lukebakio scored a hat-trick as Bayern surrendered a 3-1 lead at the Allianz Arena.

He completed his treble in the 93rd minute, leaving Kovac fuming with his team.

And according to Bild he blamed the players for their poor displays and slammed their attitude.

Much of the squad have been left angered and confused by the rant, which does little to strengthen his position with the Bavarian giants.

Koscielny nears Arsenal comeback


Laurent Koscielny is closing in on a return for Arsenal after coming through 45 minutes of an Under-23 game against Derby County.

The Frenchman has not played this season due to an Achilles injury suffered last May, which forced him to miss the World Cup.

But having returned to training earlier this month Koscielny has made the first step towards a first team return.

City and Juve looming amid uncertain Alba future


Jordi Alba has sparked interest from Manchester City and Juventus amid uncertainty over his Barcelona future.

The Spain international is out of contract at Camp Nou in 2020 and says he is surprised not to have been offered a new deal.

Tuttosport understand that Juve and City are both keen on the full-back, in a deal which could be at a cut price if Barca do not act regarding his contract.


Arsenal tracking Galatasaray's Kabak


Arsenal are tracking Galatasaray's Ozan Kabak, according to reports in Turkey.

Following speculation from Italy linking Inter Milan with a move for the defender, though the club want more than the €7.5 million [£6.6m/$8.5m] that is being offered.

Turkish publication Sabah claim the Gunners are keeping abreast of developements but it is understood that it is Kabak's dream to move to the San Siro.


Wenger interested in Bayern job


Ex-Arsenal man passed up Fulham offer

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has expressed his interest in taking over at Bayern Munich, reports the Telegraph.

Wenger, who walked away from the Gunners at the end of last season after more than 20 years in charge, is keen to return to management.

Previous overtures from Fulham failed to convince the Frenchman, but Bayern could also make an approach if they choose to fire Niko Kovac.

Moyes makes Kroos claim


The Germany World Cup winner was Manchester-bound

David Moyes says Toni Kroos agreed to move to Manchester United prior to his sacking as manager.

The Scot was dismissed barely a season into his tenure at Old Trafford, after taking over from Sir Alex Ferguson.

He was eventually sacked in April after failing to take United into the Champions League places, but had signed up a big-name recruit for the following campaign.

Orlando City fire general manager Budalic


Orlando City have fired general manager Niki Budalic after two years in the role, the team announced Monday.

The Lions amassed just 28 points this season, the fewest in the club’s four-year run in Major League Soccer.

'De Jong and De Ligt can play for any team in Europe'


Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong are good enough to play for any club in Europe, their Ajax team-mate David Neres believes.

Both De Ligt and De Jong have found themselves linked with some of the world's biggest teams, including Barcelona and Manchester City.

And Neres thinks that interest is warranted, due to their quality and potential.

Neres says Roma and Dortmund tried to sign him


Roma and Borussia Dortmund tried to sign David Neres during the summer transfer window, the Ajax forward has revealed.

The 21-year-old Brazilian, who was signed from Sao Paulo in January 2017,  has been a regular for the Amsterdam club over the last two years, featuring in 12 of their 13 Eredivisie outings this term and racking up four league assists and one goal.

And Neres says he drew the interest of some big clubs, though he wished to develop at Ajax and had no designs on leaving.

Everton want Santos top scorer


Everton want to take Santos' top scorer Gabriel Barbosa on loan, claims Tutto Mercato Web.

Barbosa is with the Brazilian giants on a temporary basis and it appears he is not needed immediately by parent club Inter Milan.

The Toffees are in the market for a striker and may look to recruit him in January. 

Liverpool and Chelsea receive Asensio boost


Real Madrid president Florentino Perez may look to replace Liverpool and Chelsea target Marco Asensio, claims Don Balon.

The forward was aiming to step into Cristiano Ronaldo's shoes this season but has struggled to make a significant impact.

Madrid, who have been heavily linked with Eden Hazard, will look for a big name player to take Asensio's place if his performances don't improve.

West Ham to resist Man Utd interest in Arnautovic


West Ham will reject any bids for Marko Arnautovic in January, amid reports of interest from Manchester United, per the London Evening Standard.

The striker has been in fine form this season and the Hammers are determined to keep him, despite the possibility of making a substantial profit on the £23 million (€26m/$29.5m) they paid to sign him from Stoke.

Ivanovic refuses to rule out Barcelona move


Branislav Ivanovic has refused to rule out a transfer to Barcelona.

The Zenit defender is being considered as a potential January acquisition and has done nothing to deny the speculation.

"I am pleased with everything at Zenit," he stated on Sunday. "But in football, you never know what will happen tomorrow."

Chelsea and Arsenal interested in United's Pereira


Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira, according to the Sun.

The Brazilian, 22, has made only four Premier League appearances this term. His deal runs out in the summer, but United are looking to cash in on him for £10 million in January.

Inter eye Mangala on a free


Inter Milan are interested in signing Manchester City's Eliaquim Mangala on a free transfer when his contract expires next summer, per Tuttosport.

The centre-back is out of favour under Pep Guardiola and has been loaned out to Valencia and Stoke during the Spaniard's tenure.

Bayern consider Wenger appointment


Bayern Munich are considering appointing Arsene Wenger as a replacement for embattled manager Niko Kovac, per Bild.

The Bavarian giants are currently fifth in the Bundesliga, already nine points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund, and Wenger has been mentioned as a potential successor to Kovac should the axe fall.


Man Utd interested in Witsel


Jose Mourinho has watched the Belgian play in person

Manchester United want to sign Axel Witsel from Borussia Dortmund, per ESPN.

Jose Mourinho travelled to Belgium over the international break, with the intention of watching Witsel in action.

Mourinho is keen to improve his midfield options at the club, and considered a bid for Witsel in the summer before the club secured Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Spurs target Berge


Tottenham have targeted Sander Berge, according to TeamTalk.

Berge is a player who Spurs have scouted since the age of 16 and they are now lining up a January bid for the Genk midfielder.

Coutinho wants Kane at Barcelona


Philippe Coutinho wants Barcelona to sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane, according to Don Balon.

Barca are preparing for the inevitablity of Luis Suarez's exit from the club and Coutinho believes Kane is the best striker in the world.

As such, he has requested that the Catalan club attempt to sign him from Spurs, with Lionel Messi also in agreement.

United will wait to sign Pellegrini


Manchester United will wait to sign Roma's Lorenzo Pellegrini after discovering a £26.5 million release clause becomes active in his contract this summer, according to the Mirror.

The 22-year-old midfielder has nine caps for Italy and United had been linked with a January move for him.

Roma are apparently trying to persuade Pellegrini to sign a new deal which would remove the clause. 

Milan in talks over Chelsea trio


AC Milan have entered talks with Chelsea over Cesc Fabregas, Gary Cahill and Andreas Christensen, reports Sport Mediaset.

All three have been out of favour under new Blues boss Maurizio Sarri and, with Lucas Biglia, Giacomo Bonaventura and Mattia Caldara injured for the next few months, Milan are looking for reinforcements.

Gattuso refuses to rule out Ibrahimovic loan


Zlatan Ibrahimovic could return to AC Milan on loan in January as Rossoneri boss Gennaro Gattuso refused to rule out a deal for the 37-year-old.

Milan have been linked with a six-month loan deal with the LA Galaxy striker who said the Italian club's interest is "No secret".

Gattuso was questioned about the potential transfer after his side's 1-1 draw with Lazio yesterday.

Valencia interested in Colombia star Quintero


Juan Fernando Quintero has caught the eye of Valencia, according to Don Balon.

The Colombian international currently plys his trade at River Plate, and the former Porto midfielder is drawing interest after rebuilding his career with the Argentinian club and with the national team.

Teams from the Premier League and Chinese Super League are also said to be interested, but a move to England may expose Quintero's lack of physicality while a Chinese move could be a detriment to the midfielder's international career. 

Bayern linked with Son


Son Heung-min's stunning goal against Chelsea earned plenty of talk over the weekend, and the South Korean is now linked with a massive move.

Bayern Munich were linked with the Tottenham star earlier this year, and Calcio Mercato says the German club remain interested in acquiring his services. 

The winger has a contract with Spurs through 2023, though, making it all the more difficult to pry him away from the Premier League club. 

West Ham and Leicester eye Ligue 1 star Sala


Emiliano Sala has put together a stunning start to the Ligue 1 campaign, and the Argentine is now earning Premier League attention.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham and Leicester City have been scouting the Nantes forward, who is currently tied with Kylian Mbappe atop the Ligue 1 scoring charts.

Sala has scored 12 goals in 14 matches this season and, already one of the club's top earners, Nantes are resigned to losing the forward as the club cannot provide much in the way of an improved contract. 

Manchester United scouts eye West Ham's Rice


Manchester United scouts were on hand to watch West Ham's Declan Rice over the weekend, according to Metro.

Chelsea are also said to be interested in the 19-year-old defender, while West Ham is eager to sign Rice to a new contract as soon as possible.

Rice, whose deal expires in 2020, featured in West Ham's 4-0 loss to Manchester City over the weekend and earned praise from Pep Guardiola for his play as a holding midfielder. 

Everton enter race for 'Gabigol'


Everton have enquired over the availability of Gabriel Barbosa, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The Brazil Olympic champion is on loan at Santos, but is ready to return to Europe after disastrous spells at Inter and Benfica.

The Toffees have already asked for a loan deal of their own, but Inter could allow the 22-year-old to leave for as little as €15 million (£13m/$17m).

Solanke urged to join Rangers on loan


Dominic Solanke would be well-advised to join Rangers on loan, according to Liverpool teammate Ovie Ejaria.

Jurgen Klopp wants to keep the England striker, who has only made two appearances this season.

Ejaria is currently on a seaon-long loan from Anfield and feels Glasgow would be the perfect destination for the player.

"Dom is a very good player," he said. "I've known him for a very long time. He's another goalscorer. He scores a lot of goals, so if he was to come to Rangers in January, it would be a very good addition to the squad.'"

Isco looking for Madrid escape


The midfielder is looking to find a club that values his talent

Real Madrid star Isco is looking to leave the club,,says Don Balon.

Manager Santiago Solari wants to instigate major change at the club, and Isco appears to be a victim of those changes as he has been left on the bench for five matches.

The Spanish midfielder is said to have told captain Sergio Ramos that he is looking to leave as he looks to find a club that better values his talents.

Silva wants Gomes on permanent deal


Everton boss Marco Silva is hopeful of securing Andre Gomes on a permanent deal from Barcelona.

The Portugal international has only made five appearances for the Toffees during his season-long loan at Goodison Park.

But Silva has already been impressed and hopes Barca have forgotten about the 25-year-old.

Mata to sign United extension


Juan Mata is expected to become the first of Manchester United's out-of-contract players to sign a new deal, say The Mirror.

The Spaniard's current deal expires at the end of this season, but the club can trigger a 12-month extension.

But Mata is now set to agree to a further two years at Old Trafford, keeping him at the club until 2022.

Barcelona's Denis Suarez has told Arsenal he is ready to move to north London, according to AS.

The Spaniard has struggled for regular opportunities since swapping Manchester City for Camp Nou.

Chelsea and Valencia both have an interest, but the Gunners appear to have won the race.
