Mercatto set to sign with Inter


Former Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta has landed in China to meet with Inter Milan's owners ahead of signing a contract to become the club's new general manager, report CalcioMercato. Marotta parted company with Juve earlier this year and has long since been reported to have been in talks to take up a similar role at San Siro.

Griezmann: Turning down Barca was difficult


Antoine Griezmann admits it was “Very difficult” to turn down Barcelona in the summer but says the support he received at Atletico Madrid helped persuade him to stay.

Milan considering Fabregas move


AC Milan are considering a move for Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas, according to Calciomercato.

The 31-year-old has struggled for first-team football at Stamford Bridge and is out of contract at the end of the season, leading to speculation he could leave on a cut-price deal in January.

That has prompted Rossoneri director Leonardo to hold talks with Fabregas' intermediaries over a possible deal for the Spain international.

‘Emery needs three windows to get targets’


Unai Emery has Arsenal “going the right way”, says Ray Parlour, but will need “maybe three transfer windows” in which to get the players he wants.

The former Gunners star told the Daily Star: “You've got to give the manager two, maybe three transfer windows because they'll be certain players he might be looking at now to try and bring in. He's got the system he wants to try and play.”

Chelsea to trigger £40m Ake buy-back


Chelsea are ready to trigger the £40 million ($51m) buy-back option in Nathan Ake's deal at Bournemouth, claims The Express.

The Dutch defender, who is also being heavily linked with Manchester United, left Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis in the summer of 2017.

Barca not ruling out Neymar return


Barcelona remain open to the prospect of bringing Neymar back to Camp Nou, claims Marca.

The Brazilian departed for Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017 but has expressed a willingness to return and those in Catalunya are considering a move to make that happen.

Cavani an option for Real


Edinson Cavani is an attacking option being considered by Real Madrid, according to OK Diario.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker would bring proven pedigree to the Santiago Bernabeu and is said to be on the Blancos' shortlist as a result of his strained relationship with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in France.

Antonio Valencia will look to stay in England if he is not offered fresh terms by Manchester United, reports the Metro.

The Red Devils' club captain will see his current deal at Old Trafford expire next summer, with no 12-month option triggered or an extension discussed.

Red Devils readying raid for Roma midfielder

Manchester United are preparing to table a double-your-money offer to Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The 22-year-old is considered to be one of the hottest prospects in Europe and has a €30 million (£27m/$34m) release clause in his contract.

Jose Mourinho wants to trigger that fee and hand the highly-rated Italian a deal at Old Trafford worth £1.8m-a-year plus bonuses.


Juventus keen on Eriksen


The Danish international’s contract is set to expire in 2020 and he is reportedly considering his options.

Juve have something of an injury crisis in centre midfield, leading to Calciomercato’s claim that the Turin giants are keeping tabs on Eriksen’s situation.

Juventus were also interested in signing Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal, but a deal for the Welshman appears to have fallen through with Bayern Munich now likely to secure his service.

Klopp eyeing former player


According to the Sportsman, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is interested in Hoffenheim midfielder Kerem Demirbay.

The German coach has reportedly kept a close eye on Demirbay, who was a youth team player at Dortmund when Klopp was manager.

He could even bring the Hoffenheim man to Anfield for as little as £25m in January.

Demirbay is a box-to-box midfielder and has already earned two senior German caps.

Napoli return unlikely for Cavani


PSG striker Edison Cavani has laughed off speculation linking him with a move to his former club Napoli, as reported by Sportmediaset.

“If I'm going back to Napoli, you're talking too much,” he joked.

“I love Naples and its people, I send them all my affection. We saw each other a short time ago (when PSG drew 1-1 at the Stadio San Paolo) and I always wish them the best.”

Tottenham to raid Barcelona?


Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino attend Barcelona B's win over Cornella, leading to suggestions he's in the market for their players in January.

The Spurs manager had previously claimed this club needs to look at a "refresh" in terms of the playing staff in the winter window, with Barca B star Riqui Puig apparently on his list of targets.

Barcelona continue to monitor Rabiot


PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot remains a transfer target for Barcelona, according to Sport.

The Frenchman has long been linked with a move to Spain, and he is apparently keen on making the switch to Camp Nou.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is, however, still determined to keep Rabiot despite the player having reportedly rejected a new bumper three-year contract, with his current deal expiring in 2019.

AC Milan turn to Cahill amid injury crisis


AC Milan will reportedly look to sign Gary Cahill in the January transfer window as they aim to ease their injury woes at the back, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Cahill, who has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following Maurizio Sarri's appointment, has apparently been offered to the Rossoneri.

The former England centre-back's contract expires in 2019 and Milan, who have seen defender Andrea Romagnoli added to their lengthy injury list, could look to seal a cut-price deal in the January window.

Man Utd want £60m Pickford as De Gea replacement


Red Devils planning for life without De Gea

Manchester United will apparently look to sign Jordan Pickford should David De Gea decide to the leave the club, according the Sun.

The report suggests that Juventus will look to bring in De Gea, whose contract at Old Trafford runs until 2019, although the club have the option to extend it by a further year.

And should the Red Devils lose De Gea, United will apparently then turn to Everton and Everton goalkeeper Pickford, and could spend as much as £60 million ($77m) to bring him in.

Wolves keen on Origi


The Mirror are claiming Nuno Espirito Santo wants to bolster his attacking options in January by signing Liverpool’s Divock Origi.

The Belgian, who has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield, could cost Wolves around £20m according to reports.

While the Midlands club have impressed since their return to the Premier League, but have struggled to find a regular goalscorer and have only netted 12 league goals.

Origi could be the answer to this problem and in his first two seasons at Liverpool bagged 21 goals.

Woodward blocks Campos appointment


Manchester United’s search for a director of football could be over soon, if the club follow Jose Mourinho’s advice and appoint Luis Campos.

The Red Devils have been in search of someone who can take charge of their recruitment policy and Mourinho, who worked with Campos at Madrid, has suggested his fellow countryman.

However, as reported by the Daily Record, Ed Woodward is not in favour of appointing one of Mourinho’s allies and may leave any recruitment until the end of the current United’s boss’ tenure.

Chelsea plan £200m January spree


With the threat of a transfer embargo, Maurizio Sarri is targeting four big signings.

The Blues are planning a huge transfer splurge this January with the threat of a two-year transfer ban hanging over them by FIFA.

According to the Express, Chelsea could spend up to £200m in the upcoming window, with one of their main targets being Juventus full-back Alex Sandro, rated at £50m.

Maurizio Sarri would also like to boost his defence with Elseid Hysaj, from his former side Napoli, and Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake, who Chelsea have £40m buy-back agreement for.

However, the club’s biggest outlay could be on £70m-rated Christian Pulisic from Dortmund.

Barcelona to beat Liverpool to De Ligt


Another Ajax starlet remains a major transfer target with top clubs pursuing ​Matthijs de Ligt.

Liverpool are said to be after the Ajax defender, who has partnered Reds star Virgil van Dijk on the international level.

However, according to the Mirror, Barcelona are in the lead in the chase to sign the defender, seen as the successor to Gerard Pique. 

Mina drawing interest from Valencia and Real Betis


Yerry Mina's stay with Barcelona was short, but the Everton defender is now drawing interest from two other La Liga sides.

Valencia and Real Betis are interested in the Colombian defender, according to Don Balon.

Barcelona have a purchase option on the defender, but the club is unlikely to pursue a deal after selling to Everton this summer. 

AC Milan want discount on Bakayoko


Tiemoue Bakayoko is starting to find his way at AC Milan, but the club will only take him on a permanent deal if the price is discounted, according to TuttoSport.

Milan is open to keeping the on-loan midfielder, who joined from Chelsea after a frustrating Premier League debut season.

However, the club is demanding that Chelsea drop the original agreement from €40m to €25m to facilitate a deal. 

Ramsey in line for massive raise if he joins Juventus


Aaron Ramsey will earn £10.4million a year by moving to Juventus, according to the Sun.

The Italian club are one of several big clubs interested in the Arsenal midfielder, who is set for a free transfer this summer.

Arsenal recently withdrew a contract offer for the Wales midfielder, alerting clubs such as Juve, Roma and Bayern Munich to his potential availability. 

Club Tijuana set to hire FC Dallas' Pareja


FC Dallas manager Oscar Pareja is set to be hired by Liga MX side Club Tijuana.

Pareja has been in charge of the MLS club for five seasons and is widely recognized as one of the league'st op coaches.

The Dutch midfielder is seen as a replacement for Fernandinho

Manchester City are within reach of sealing a £61million deal for Ajax's Frenkie De Jong as Pep Guardiola looks for a long-term replacement for Fernandinho, according to the Mirror.

Barcelona and Tottenham had hoped to rival the Premier League champions for the Dutch midfielder's signature but neither are prepared to match City's bid for the 21 year-old.

Klopp hoping to pluck Demirbay from Hoffenheim


Hoffenheim midfielder Kerem Demirbay is a target for Jurgen Klopp as the Liverpool boss seeks to strengthen his hand in January, according to the Express. 

The Germany international came through the ranks at Klopp's former side Borussia Dortmund and is managed by the same agent as Reds pair Sadio Mane and Naby Keita.

The 25 year-old switched international allegiance from Turkey to the country of his birth in 2017. 

Rostov ready to pay Sunderland compensation for Ndong


FK Rostov are ready to pay Sunderland €4m for the services of Didier Ndong, according to iSport. The Gabon international was sacked by the League One side in September for breach of contract, and Sunderland will be entitled to compensation if the player signs for the Russian top-flight outfit.

City sign Millwall's Gyabi


Manchester City have spent £375,000 on Millwall's 14 year-old midfielder Darko Gyabi in a deal that could increase in value substantially if the player hits certain performance targets.

Gyabi comes from the same South London estate as former City graduate and England international Jadon Sancho.
