Krul involved in embarrassing UEFA mix-up

The Dutchman was unfortunately confused with his goalkeeping rival Jasper Cillessen in his official profile on UEFA's official website

Netherlands goalkeeper Tim Krul was the victim of an embarrassing mix-up by UEFA's official website, as European football's governing body confused him with another Dutch shot stopper.

The AZ goalkeeper, who is on loan from Newcastle United, shared a screenshot on his official Twitter account, showing how UEFA mixed him up with Barcelona's Jasper Cillessen.

Krul was part of the Netherlands squad who finished third at the 2014 World Cup, but was only a back-up to then Ajax goalkeeper Cillessen.

He has played just eight games for the national team compared to Cillessen's 30, and was unhappy with UEFA's mix-up, writing "You might wanna update the profile pic of Tim Krul on your website."

Since their mistake was pointed out, UEFA has now updated the profile photo of the 28-year-old.
