WATCH: 'It's very difficult to talk to you' - Klopp refuses to answer journalist's question following Wolves defeat

  • Klopp refused to speak to one journalist
  • Admitted Liverpool's poor starts were "concerning"
  • After Wolves defeat, Klopp's side are 10th

WHAT HAPPENED? After getting trounced 3-0 by Wolves, Klopp took offence to one journalist's post-match question. Asked whether repeated slow starts are linked to a mentality problem, he shot back "It's very difficult to talk to you, if I'm 100% honest, for all the things you wrote. So if somebody else wants to ask that question, I'll answer it." He then went on to accept that the team's poor starts were "concerning".

THE BIGGER PICTURE: After a calamitous 3-0 defeat at Wolves, Liverpool sit in 10th place, 11 points off the top four. Things need to pick up fast if the club are to achieve European qualification.

WHAT NEXT FOR KLOPP? Despite his legendary status at the club, the German is under increased pressure given the consistently sub-par performances of his team. The Reds will be aiming to return to winning ways in a crunch Merseyside derby meeting with Everton on Monday February 13.
