Jones exited because of the injury in the 43rd minute of the Galaxy's 2-2 draw with the Chicago Fire on Saturday.

The 35-year-old, who has started three of four matches for the U.S. in the Hexagonal stage of World Cup qualifying, has recorded one goal and two assists in eight matches this MLS campaign.

With Jones suspended, U.S. coach Bruce Arena pushed winger Christian Pulisic into a central role for a 6-0 win over Honduras in March. Jones started the subsequent 1-1 draw against Panama, with Kellyn Acosta replacing him in the 75th minute.
