Antoine Griezmann says he has no interest in joining Arsenal in the future after they missed an opportunity to sign him in 2013.
Griezmann, 26, opted to stay in the Spanish capital to help the club through a recent transfer ban.
With Diego Costa returning in January once the ban is over, there has been speculation that the France international could leave the Wanda Metropolitano, but the Gunners can rule themselves out after disappointing him four years ago.
In his new book, Behind the Smile, Griezmann told the story of how he came close to moving from Real Sociedad to the Emirates Stadium to unite with Arsene Wenger.
"I waited, I waited, and I kept waiting," he wrote.
"When there was no news, my agent Eric Olhats called Gilles Grimandi at Arsenal, who said the manager was still interested in me and to keep waiting.
"Finally a few hours before the market closed, he let us know Arsenal would not make a move. I don't like to be told something and for it not to happen.
"So when Eric told me later that they were interested again I told him 'Forget it, after the blow they gave us'."
A year later, Griezmann moved to Atletico for €35 million and has since scored 89 goals in 176 games.
