It's official! Steven Gerrard will wear the red of Liverpool once more.

The Anfield legend has been confirmed as one of the members of the Liverpool Legends side who will play Real Madrid Legends in a star-studded match for charity.

'Guardiola will consider signing Wilshere'

The two sides will face off at Anfield on Saturday, March 25, with the proceeds going to the LFC Foundation, which helps children and young people in Merseyside.

Gerrard will line up alongside other Reds greats, including Ian Rush, Robbie Fowler, John Aldridge and Jamie Carragher.

The 36-year-old Champions League winner is excited to play in the game, and once again line up at Anfield.

“I’m really looking forward to playing in the LFC Foundation Legends Charity match - Anfield will always hold a special place in my heart," Gerrard said.

"It’s a real honour to be sharing the pitch with such a great team of legends whilst raising money for the club’s official charity.”

After leaving LA Galaxy, Gerrard is now back at Liverpool in a role as an academy coach, having returned to the club in January.
