Antipas: Katsvairo bound to become a reliable goalscorer for Kaizer Chiefs

AmaZulu head coach Joey Antipas believes that Mitchell Katsvairo will become a reliable striker for Kaizer Chiefs.

The 26-year-old forward joined Amakhosi from Chicken Inn at the beginning of the season - having helped the latter win the 2015 Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League (ZPSL) title.

His former coach at Chicken Inn, Antipas, who is now in charge of National First Division (NFD) side AmaZulu, has backed the striker to come good for Chiefs.

"Having worked with Michelle at Chicken Inn, and knowing his ability as a fearless striker with an eye for goal, I have no doubt that once he has fully found his feet at Chiefs he is bound to be their reliable striker," Antipas told Vodacom Soccer.

"Look, there is no doubt about his ability as a striker, but obviously being a foreign player at a big team like Chiefs comes with high expectations and pressure," he continued.

"So, Michelle has to pull up his socks up and prove his worth by creating and scoring more goals, because he has constantly been getting game-time," Antipas concluded.

Katsvairo has made 12 Premier Soccer League (PSL) appearances for Amakhosi this season - netting once in the process.
