Christian Pulisic is off the mark in Serie A for the 2025-26 season after scoring Milan's second goal in what was ultimately a routine 2-0 win over Lecce on Friday.
Milan were firmly in control in the 84th minute, but held an admittedly narrow 1-0 lead. Pulisic changed that, capitalizing on a defensive collapse to ghost in behind and finish at the near post past a sprawling goalkeeper. It is his second strike of the campaign.
The goal marked a successful night for Milan's American contingent. Yunus Musah was handed a rare start, and impressed at right wing back, playing all 90 minutes and serving as a crucial creative outlet for the Italian giants. Milan were entirely in control throughout, winning the possession battle, and outshooting the home side, 14-7. They had two goals ruled out on the night.
