Neymar was seen leaving the stadium in crutches and with a huge protective cast covering his leg. Despite his hobbling, the Al-Hilal star stopped to pose for a picture with a young fan.

The Brazil star was in tears as he had to be stretchered off the field with an apparent knee injury. The 31-year-old went down towards the end of the first half of the match in the latest in a long history of injury troubles for the attacker.

Brazil went on to lose the match to Uruguay, with Darwin Nunez and Nicolas de la Cruz getting the crucial goals. That result leaves the Selecao on seven points after four matches, while Argentina sit five points clear at the top of the table.

It is not yet known how long Neymar will be out of action, but he will miss Al-Hilal's clash against Al-Khaleej on Friday.
