Cook, nicknamed 'Hardest Geezer', crossed the finish line in Tunisia on April 7 after 352 days, completing more than 10,190 miles and raising in excess of £1 million ($1.24m) for charity. Before City thrashed the Seagulls on Thursday night at the Amex, the runner briefly met up with Grealish - who passed on his congratulations over the 27-year-old's herculean effort.

Pitchside at the Amex, Grealish and Cook can be seen embracing one another, with the former saying on Sky Sports: "What a legend! Been watching your stuff, pal. All the best, congratulations." To which the latter replied: "Nice one, man."

Cook completed his mammoth task despite having complications with visas, health problems, an armed robbery, geopolitical issues, and more. The Worthing man said he struggled with his mental health, drinking and gambling and wanted to "make a difference". He certainly did that.

While Cook decides what extraordinary running feat to attempt next, or if that is the end of his intrepid adventures, Grealish's City side travel to relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.
