  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    According to Fabrizio Romano, the Serie A giants have demanded €40m (£34m/$44m) upfront from the Turkish side and the remaining €35m (£30m/$40.9m) in add-ons by 2026. They also want a sell-on clause to be added to the deal. However, Galatasaray want to pay the remaining amount of the transfer fee by 2027 and do not want to add any sell-on clause.

    La Repubblica reported on Monday that Galatasaray had formally submitted their required bank guarantees to Napoli as they were prepared to meet the €75 million (£63m/$82m) valuation of the forward, but they have now rejected the proposal.
