Silva has agreed to return to Fluminense at the end of the season and has signed a two-year deal with the Brazilian club. The defender will move on a free transfer after his existing deal with Chelsea expires and his wife appears thrilled at the news. Belle Silva reacted to official confirmation that her husband is heading back to Fluminense with a post on social media.

Belle posted the following message on Instagram with the hashtag "TheMonsterIsBack" along with pictures of her family posing in Fluminense shirts: "The beast is back! So happy to be home again after so many years!"

Silva will say an emotional farewell to Chelsea at the end of the season. The defender has become an iconic figure at Stamford Bridge and lifted the European Cup with the Blues in 2021. Silva will now head back to Fluminense, despite reported interest from Premier League clubs, to play once again for the club where he started his career as a teenager.

Silva will see out the season with Chelsea and will expect to feature in the team's final three games of the season against Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Bournemouth. He will then head to Brazil on a two-year-deal with Chelsea having confirmed he can train with Fluminense before his registration is transferred on July 1.
