WHAT HAPPENED?
Smith continues to see her stock soar, with the Portland Thorns striker making impressive contributions for club and country in 2024. She is now a W Gold Cup and SheBelieves Cup winner, with the United States getting back on the trophy trail.
The Portland Thorns crushed the Houston Dash 4-1 in their latest outing, with Smith on target once again. She has now reached 50 goal contributions in the NWSL (40 goals and 10 assists) and has become the youngest player to hit that mark – knocking Aussie icon Kerr, who has spent time with Sky Blue FC and the Chicago Red Stars, down the pecking order.
