Ryan Reynolds’ agency to lure Rio Ferdinand to United States? Man Utd legend tipped to leave TNT Sports & chase American dream ahead of 2026 World Cup

That is according to the Daily Mail, who report on the Manchester United legend being yet to extend his contract with TNT – having spent more than a decade on their punditry books after initially linking up with the broadcaster in their BT Sport guise.

Ferdinand’s management company, New Era, have agreed a partnership with Beverly Hills-based talent group WME. The Mail claims that TNT bosses now expect the ex-England international to move on at the end of the season, as he explores other options.

Ferdinand, who earned 81 caps for the Three Lions, is now seeing a move to the United States speculated on. That is is because WME are beginning to piece together plans for the 2026 World Cup, with roles being sought at that event for prominent figures in their stable.

WME represent Wrexham co-owner Reynolds and his fellow Hollywood superstar Alba, along with several other A-listers from the movie business. They also look after the interests of leading lights in NBA and broadcasting circles, with Ferdinand set to benefit from their experience and contact book.
