That amount is a Premier League record since the competition was reduced to a 20-team season from 1995-96 onwards.

    Standout results from the weekend's action include Newcastle's thrilling 4-4 draw with Luton, Brighton's 4-1 thrashing of Crystal Palace, Chelsea getting stunned 4-2 at home by Wolves and Aston Villa romping past Sheffield United at Bramall Lane 5-0. The lowest scoring game was the 1-1 draw between Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
