Neymar's Al Hilal risked forfeiting match due to unusual kit rule with Brazilian set to make long-awaited return from injury

Al-Hilal beat Al-Feiha 3-0 on Friday thanks to goals from Marcos Leonardo, Salem Aldawsari and Mohammed Al-Qahtani. However, reports suggest that they were almost forced to forfeit the game as they planned to play in a new kit, which has been produced to mark their 67th anniversary, but they did not declare their intention to wear it quickly enough, and had to switch to their usual home shirt instead.

With Al-Hilal having won all seven of their seven games in the Saudi Pro League thus far, they are set to be bolstered by the return of Neymar, who has been out since sustaining an ACL injury on international duty in October of 2023.

Al-Hilal said on Saturday: "Al-Hilal is happy to announce that Neymar will join the squad for the away trip to Al Ain. He's back."

Neymar has only made five appearances for Al-Hilal in total, and will be out to add a sixth against Al Ain in the Champions League.
