Man Utd legend Paul Ince charged with drink driving after black Range Rover collides with central reservation

Former United and England midfielder Ince has been charged with drink driving and will appear before Chester Magistrates on Friday - as the Daily Mail reports. A black Range Rover collided with a central reservation near Heswall Golf Club in Cheshire on Saturday.

Ince won the Premier League twice with United as well as two FA Cups and also made 53 appearances for England. He has had managerial roles since retiring as a player, most recently leading Reading from February 2022 to April 2023.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "At around 5pm on Saturday 28 June, police were called following reports of a collision on Chester High Road, Neston.

'The incident involved a black Range Rover which had collided with the central reservation barrier. Officers attended the scene and arrested a 57-year-old man.

"Paul Ince, of Neston, has since been charged with drink driving. Ince has been bailed to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court on Friday 18 July."

Ince, who also took in spells at Liverpool, Inter, Middlesbrough and Wolves in his playing career, has been bailed and will appear in court on Friday.
