Luke Shaw set for Man Utd return as left-back rejoins training following lengthy injury - with Harry Maguire & Leny Yoro also spotted

According to The Athletic, Shaw was joined by fellow defenders Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro in United's training session on Friday, with the latter two being recently sidelined with respective calf and foot injuries. That suggests all three are closing on a first-team return, which would be Shaw's first minutes since December.

Shaw has made just three appearances for United this season, with knee and muscle problems severely restricting his time on the pitch. The 29-year-old only played 15 times in 2023-24 for the Red Devils, highlighting how injuries have blighted his time at Old Trafford. Unfortunately, United simply cannot rely on the left-back.

Maguire hasn't featured for United since their FA Cup loss to Fulham earlier in March, while summer signing Yoro missed the last two games after being forced off at half-time against Arsenal.

It remains to be seen if any of Shaw, Maguire, and Yoro will be fit for Ruben Amorim's team to face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League next Tuesday.
