WHAT HAPPENED?
Marca reports that the Reds could consider placing a bid for the custodian amid rumours of receiving a massive offer from Saudi Arabian clubs for Alisson. They will, however, face competition from fellow Premier League side Newcastle United who are being considered the favourites to land Mamardashvili.

The Magpies reportedly saw their first bid worth €25m (£21m/$26) for the Georgian get rejected by Valencia. They, however, are expected to place a second offer as they look determined to sign a quality goalkeeper in the ongoing summer transfer window.
