Kylian Mbappe hits back strongly at Brest goal celebration criticism as PSG superstar accuses opposing fans of 'insulting team-mate'

The World Cup winner bagged a brace for PSG to see them over the line, with his 89th minute winner ultimately settling the contest. Mbappe saw his late penalty saved by Marco Bizot, but he was on hand to roll in the rebound and wheel away with his team-mates following closely behind.

Mbappe made a point of shushing the home support, as he celebrated in front of them, and has been criticised for his inflammatory behaviour when more is expected of him as captain of the France national team.

Mbappe has refused to accept that he acted out of line, with the prolific 24-year-old forward responding to one journalist that called him out by saying on social media: “Well of course I should have sang with them when they insulted my team-mate. Some have really never set foot on a football field regardless of the level….”

PSG’s superstar forward has now hit 12 goals through as many appearances this season and has passed 250 at club level over the course of his remarkable career – with one of the finest talents on the planet expected to come in for Ballon d’Or recognition at some stage in the future.
