Kyle Walker breaks Christmas promise by refusing to send gifts to own children - with Lauryn Goodman 'feeling let down' by Man City star

The Sun claims that the two children Walker has with Goodman were left without Christmas gifts to open from their father for the second year running, despite apparently telling friends that he would. While much of the report appears to be fed by a source from Goodman's side of the table, a separate sources told the tabloid that Walker does "provide for the children financially".

The primary source told The Sun: "All of their mutual friends have talked to Kyle. They feel really upset for the children and for Lauryn who is always trying to do right by their kids. They were hoping Kyle would put aside his differences for the sake of the children. But to leave them with nothing to open for another year is just really sad.

"Kyle told mutual friends that the kids would get gifts this year. They still believe he will do the right thing and some will be delivered in the New Year to show them Kyle does care."

Walker is believed to have spent some time on Christmas morning with estranged wife Annie Kilner and the four children they share together, before reporting for City training ahead of Boxing Day's draw with Everton. He previously moved out of the family home a year ago, with Kilner eventually filing for divorce in October, after it became apparent that he had fathered a second child with Goodman during an affair. The two had previously had a son together in 2019 while Walker and Kilner were on a brief break - Walker and Kilner reconciled and married in 2021.

Whether Walker does come through with Christmas gifts in the New Year remains to be seen. While seemingly involved financially, the England right-back appears to now keep his distance from his second family, with dirty laundry regularly aired in public. On the pitch, City are seeking to end a dreadful run of recent results when they visit Leicester in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. Walker's form has suffered this season and he was ruled out of the Boxing Day game through illness.
