Fabio Carvalho's next club? Liverpool receive loan request from Wolves following failed RB Leipzig move

Jurgen Klopp decided to recall Carvalho from Leipzig as he struggled for playing time with the Bundesliga outfit. However, the German manager is keen to send him out on another loan spell but seeks guaranteed playing time for the talented Portugal Under-21 international.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Wolves have already initiated contact with Liverpool to inquire about the possibility of securing Carvalho on loan until the end of the season. Additionally, some top-six Championship clubs have expressed interest in acquiring the winger and have approached the Merseyside club regarding a potential deal.

Carvalho had made just one start and eight substitute appearances in the Bundesliga with Leipzig and played a further six times in other cup competitions, amassing just 360 minutes of action in close to four months. There were also suggestions that he could return to Fulham, his former stomping ground, to continue his development.

Liverpool and the player's entourage are assessing the options and will decide shortly the best destination for Carvalho. Gary O’Neil’s side have surpassed expectations this season and are currently in 11th spot with 28 points, level with Chelsea and just three behind Manchester United. If they manage to get Carvalho on board it will be a shot in the arm ahead of the business end of the season.
