Does this little Bimenyimana-Basomboli detail prove Kaizer Chiefs unity?

The arrival of Christian Saile Basomboli appears to have brought a new vibe at Naturena and his interaction with Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana excited fans during the weekend's return to winning ways.

Basomboli replaced Bimenyimana in the 56th minute and supplied Ashley du Preez to add to Sifiso Hlanti’s opener as Chiefs won 2-0 against Royal AM in Polokwane on Sunday.

But in a show of unity, Bimenyimana was captured a couple of times sharing notes from the bench with Basomboli.

The two forwards’ closeness could be a hint of what is to come ahead.

Although they did not share the pitch this weekend, they look to have an understanding that could be crucial for the rest of the Soweto giants' season.

The last thing Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane will want is a disjointed strike force, and maybe pairing Bimenyimana and Basomboli going forward is something that would work.

There is a possibility the two could develop a telepathic understanding as well as a combination that would terrorise Premier Soccer League defenders.

Amakhosi went into the Royal AM with morale at its lowest ebb but the introduction of their new striker gave them a spark.

Chiefs fans are excited and some jokingly said Bimenyimana should be turned into a forwards' coach after he appeared to have inspired Basomboli with his talk.
