  • WHAT HAPPENED?

City were cruising against Crystal Palace but squandered victory by conceding twice in the final 15 minutes. Jean-Philippe Mateta's strike and Michael Olise's added-time penalty cancelled out Jack Grealish and Rico Lewis' earlier goals and snatched the most unlikely of draws for Roy Hodgson's side, who had been played off the park by City for most of the game. But Guardiola said his side got what they deserved.

    WHAT GUARDIOLA SAID

"Not bad luck, deserved. We give away two points, for yourself, you give the penalty, you deserve it," Guardiola told a press conference. "You see the chances we created and concede it is quite similar to the Chelsea game."

  • CRITICISING HIS ATTACKERS

Guardiola also said his attacking players did not manage well against Palace's low block and blamed them for not scoring more. He added: "With 10 players in 18 yard box with space they have to be patient, playing that way we don’t create absolutely anything. We are not consistent enough to close the games."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

City have failed to win five of their last six Premier League matches and could be 12 points behind leaders Liverpool by the time of their next game, away to Everton on December 27.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

City have thrown away the lead in four of the games in which they have dropped points - against Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea and Palace - conceding a goal within the final 10 minutes or later.
