Thembinkosi Lorch heaps praise on coach Milutin Sredojevic after win over AmaZulu

Orlando Pirates midfielder Thembinkosi Lorch has credited coach Milutin Sredojevic for their 3-1 win over AmaZulu in the Telkom Knockout.

The Buccaneers' attacker was speaking after bagging the man of the match award against Usuthu on Saturday night as they marched on to the semi-finals.

“It was a good game, we knew that it was not going to be easy coming down to Durban to play AmaZulu because they are stubborn in their home ground,” said Lorch after the game.

The Bloemfontein-born attacker has praised his boss for coming up with a plan to unsettle Cavin Johnson's men as they will now face old rivals, Kaizer Chiefs in the last four.

Lorch netted twice for the Soweto giants whilst midfielder Xola Mlambo also put his name on the scoresheet in a game where they had to seal the encounter in extra time.

“But we stuck to the coaches plan, he told us to keep the ball and keep playing. We knew that they were going to play on a high-line, so the coach told us to dodge off-sides and I think it worked for us,” he concluded.

After beating Amakhosi 2-1 last week at the FNB Stadium in the Premier Soccer League (PSL), coach Milutin Sredojevic's men will now prepare to face Chiefs in the semi-finals in what will be a the most highly anticipated clash of the competition.
