Reports this week have also claimed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could move to Tianjin Quanjian from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of £70 million.

Aubameyang is one of the most popular players for gamers to use in Ultimate Team due to his lethal combination of 96 pace and 84 shooting.

But he may not feature in the upcoming release, which comes out on September 29, if he does make the move east, with EA Sports’ lead gameplay producer Sam Rivera revealing that the CSL will not be a playable league.

“Our intention with FIFA is to bring the best leagues to the world,” he told Fox.

“Yes, we thought about the Chinese championship, but for now, the Super League will not be included in FIFA 18...We have a great dedicated team that always works on licensing, but it takes an inevitable process to be followed.”

FIFA 18 features Cristiano Ronaldo as the cover star for the first time, and will be available on Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and the Nintendo Switch.
