Mtibwa Sugar to miss key players against Azam

Mtibwa Sugar will face Azam FC in the Federation Cup quarter finals without two key defenders, Issa Rashid “Baba Ubaya” and Salum Kanoni who are both injured.

However head Coach Zuber Katwila believes that they can still make it into the last four past Azam who will be at home in Chamazi Complex.

Speaking to Goal, Katwila said that all teams which have entered into the last eight are equal and there is nothing to fear about any opponent.

He said that during the international break they had enough time to rest and train so it is now time to deliver on the pitch.

“Every team which has entered this round is nearly equal, so there is nothing to fear, we had a good time during the international break, we trained a lot but we also had time to rest, so now it is time to deliver,” said Katwila.

Elsewhere, Azam FC assistant coach Idd Cheche said that the game will be important for both sides because it gives the teams a chance for one to go into semi-final.

“This is very important game for both sides, we will fight harder to win the game in order to book a place in the last four,” said Cheche.

The winner between the two teams is guaranteed a place in the last four where he will play one of either JKT Tanzania or Tanzania Prison who also will be in action on Saturday.
