Having scored seven goals in his first seven Premier League matches against Manchester United, Sergio Aguero has now gone three derby matches without firing for Manchester City.
However, with 17 goals to his name in the last 13 league matches at the Etihad Stadium, he is William Hill’s 14/5 (3.80) favourite to open the scoring on Sunday, and priced at just 7/10 (1.70) to strike anytime.
While there is little value to be found in those odds, Raheem Sterling represents more tempting value at 6/5 (2.20) to hit the net for the first time ever versus the Red Devils.
Getty ImagesThe former Liverpool man has been on target three times in his last two appearances to take his tally to seven for the campaign already, and it can only be a matter of time before he fires past the local rivals.
Similarly, David Silva looks an appealing prospect at 9/4 (3.25) considering he has already struck six times in 14 appearances this season – more than half his return for the entire of last campaign.
However, arguably the best value bet is to be found at the other end of the pitch, where Anthony Martial is priced at 11/1 (12.00 ) first goalscorer and 3/1 (4.0) odds.

Having scored five times in his previous six games, the Frenchman is surely worth backing at either of the prices on current form.
Martial is certainly a better value bet than Romelu Lukaku, who is available at a more slender 13/5 (3.60) anytime despite failing to score in nine fixtures and missing the last two matches through injury.
Indeed, Marcus Rashford also looks a better bet at 29/10 (3.90) considering he has scored against City last season, and has found the back of the net twice in just four league starts so far this campaign.
