Kelechi Iheanacho’s brace fires Leicester City past Lille

Kelechi Iheanacho scored the goals that propelled Leicester City to a 2-1 win over Lille on Saturday evening.

The 21-year-old continued his outstanding display for Claude Puel’s men at Stade Pierre-Mauroy scoring his third and fourth pre-season goal against the Great Danes.

After Lebo Mothiba had opened the scoring for Christophe Galtier’s side, Iheanacho brought his side back to contention with his 34th-minute effort.

The former Manchester City man then completed his brace in the 59th minute as the King Power Stadium outfit returned to winning ways after three winless run.

The attacker later made way for Darnell Johnson, with compatriot Wilfred Ndidi also withdrawn for Christian Fuchs.

Iheanacho will be hoping for a starting berth when Leicester kick-off their Premier League campaign with Manchester United at Old Trafford on August 10.
