Kano Pillars’ Junior Lokosa warns Katsina United

Nigeria Professional Football League leading scorer, Junior Lokosa has warned Katsina United that it will be business as usual when Kano Pillars host them in a local derby this weekend in a league tie.

There was a minimal crowd violence scene at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina when the first leg was played at the beginning of the season but the striker stated that they are just after a home win and are not expecting a reprisal attack from their fans as they are peace-loving people.

“We just want to go into the weekend game to consolidate on the away draw we had against Heartland in Owerri last weekend and we are expecting nothing but the three points,” Lokosa told Goal.

“It was a very charged atmosphere in Katsina when we played the first leg but we were still able to record a 2-2 draw. It was not a good experience with what we went through in the hands of their fans but we are just going to concentrate on winning our game and not on what happened in the past.

“We have the best assemblage of fans in the league and they are very supportive of our aspiration to win the league title at the end of the season. They have promised to always support us and not do anything that will cause a setback.”

Lokosa has scored 16 goals from 19 games for Pillars and his goals have helped to lift Sai Masu Gida to second in the league log with 32 points from 20 matches.
