NorthEast United head coach Avram Grant fears a lengthy layoff for Marcinho after the forward picked up an injury in the second-half of the 0-1 loss to Delhi Dynamos in their Indian Super League (ISL) match on Wednesday.
"It is not looking good. It is a bad injury. At least we could have got a penalty for this," said Grant as the player went down inside the box before calling for help due to what seemed like a pulled groin
Both sides had a couple of shouts for a penalty but overall it was a drearily dull affair. Kalu Uche headed the ball into the net in the 86th minute to seal points for the visitors.
"We played very slow. A lot of times, our last pass wasn't good enough. Then we lost Marcinho. I think it was a penalty on him. It was not a good quality game by us," admitted Grant.
NorthEast are ninth on the table with 11 points. Delhi Dynamos have the same tally and have a game in hand.
