India U-19 team to pit their wits against Singapore in Goa

India's U19 team are set to play two friendlies against Singapore U19 team later this month. 

The two matches will be played on 19th and 21st June in Goa. The games should provide much-needed match practice for both the Blue Colts and the Lion Cubs.

Interestingly, Singapore's senior team are ranked 157th in the world as compared to India who are ranked 100th. 

The games against Singapore will also help India U19 coach Floyd Pinto assess his team's strengths and weaknesses ahead of the crucial 2018 AFC U-19 Championship qualifiers in November this year. 

India find themselves in a strong group along with Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Turkmenistan for the qualifiers and all the games will be played in Saudi Arabia.
