Donyoh eyes Danish Superliga title with Nordsjalland

Ghanaian midfielder Godsway Donyoh is hoping for a perfect start in the Danish Superliga ahead of FC Nordsjalland's opening day game against Esbjerg FB on Sunday.

The 23-year-old is expected to start for the Wild Tigers who are hoping to improve on the third-place finish they achieved last campaign, in a bid to qualify for the Uefa Champions League.

"We need to begin very well against Esberg on Sunday because our target is to improve on last season’s position," Donyoh told his club's website.

"We have a solid team, great coach and supporters. So it’s up to us to take the initiative now and start well before it becomes too late," he added.

Aside Donyoh, two other Ghanaian youngsters Clinton Antwi and Ibrahim Sadiq have been named in Nordsjalland's matchday squad by coach Kasper Hjulmand.

Donyoh joined Nordsjalland from Premier League champions Manchester City in 2016 and boasts of 14 goals after 43 appearances.
