THE BIGGER PICTURE
Gyokeres has remained silent on his future, however, and A Bola reports that he has told his representatives to keep all transfer talk away from him until after Sporting's Taca de Portugal final clash against Benfica this weekend. The Portuguese outlet says Arsenal are the frontrunners in the race, having already offered him a deal that would see him net £7 million, per year. Gyokeres has a €100m (£84m/$113m) release clause in his contract, though O Jogo reports Sporting are willing to let him go for a lower fee.
Gyokeres and Sporting can win the domestic double if they beat Benfica in Sunday's final. Afterwards, the former Coventry and Brighton player may well be heading back to England.
