Palmer swapped his Chelsea kit for a tuxedo and bow tie this week as he attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards at the The Roof Gardens in London with girlfriend Connie Grace. The 22-year-old was spotted on the red carpet bring quizzed by Dimoldenberg, who had plenty of trademark awkward questions for the Chelsea star to answer in an interview that made for painful viewing. Palmer was forced to ponder such dilemmas as whether he would rather score an own goal or be substituted in the first half and replied saying: "Own goal. When you get subbed first half, it damaged you. It's never happened to me, touch wood."
Asked if he would rather score from the halfway line or via a bicycle kick, he responded: "It's tough I don't know. I feel a bicycle kick is harder." He then made the surprise admission: "I can't really do a bicycle kick though."
